   "WORLD VETERINARY DAY- 2025"

I am delighted to note that World Veterinary Day 2025 is being observed on April 26th in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, in harmony with the global celebration of the vital contributions of veterinary professionals. This day is a tribute to their unwavering efforts in advancing animal health, promoting animal welfare and safeguarding public health.
This year's theme, "Animal Health Takes a Team," is a powerful reminder that achieving optimal animal healthcare and welfare is a collaborative endeavor. It calls for the combined expertise of veterinarians, researchers, allied professionals and technicians - all working together to provide the highest standard of veterinary care. Effective teamwork fosters a supportive and dynamic environment, ultimately enhancing outcomes for both animals and society.
Animal health is a multifaceted discipline. Its impact extends beyond the wellbeing of animals to influence public health, trade and national security. In this collective effort, we must not forget the indispensable role of livestock farmers - the foundation of any successful animal health strategy.
As we celebrate World Veterinary Day, let us reaffirm our appreciation for the collaborative spirit of veterinary practice and acknowledge the essential roles played by every member of the animal healthcare team.
I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all veterinarians and allied professionals on this occasion. May your continued dedication bring lasting improvements to animal lives and contribute meaningfully to a healthier, more sustainable world.
