'Adivasi Adi Bhimb' -2016 at ITF Stupendous performance of tribal folk songs, dance & theatre enthrall gathering

The second day of the mega event 'Festival of Tribal Dance, Music & Theatre' organized by the National School of Drama, New Delhi in collaboration with the Deptt. of Art & Culture, A &N Administration saw huge crowd enjoying the show at the ITF Ground here this evening. 'Adivasi Adi Bhimb' is a festival of tribal dance, music and theatre to contribute to the growth and development of tribal art & culture across the country.
Melodious folk songs by Karen community from Mayabunder, Dadra folk song of Madhya Pradesh, Mising Oinitam of Assam, Bajashal of Orissa and Rajasthani folk song drew loud applause from the gathering.
Beautifully decked in their respective tribal attire, presenting their tribal dance & music, tribes belonging to Chakkri of Rajasthan, Kharsawan Chhau of Jharkhand, Saila of Madhya Pradesh, Nicobarese folk dance, Gaa Laam of Manipur, Deuri Bishu of Assam, Rathwa of Gujarat and Bajashal of Orissa were indeed a treat to the eyes.
A stupendous theatre performance by artistes from Ara Baha, a Birbhum Blossom Theatre, Shantiniketan, West Bengal Production was the highlight of the day.
The mega festival 'Adavasi Adi Bhimb-2016' showcased rich tribal art and culture which is truly enriching. People of all ages were seen thronging the ITF ground to witness the scintillating performance by tribes belonging to various parts of the country. The ITF ground beautifully decked with lightings added fervor to the festival.
The three day Festival will conclude tomorrow (Feb 28).
