CS inaugurates renovated Tehsil Office building at Ferrargunj Urges revenue officials to attend people’s issues on priority

The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Anindo Majumdar inaugurated the renovated Tehsil Office building and also the e-Corner at Ferrargunj today. He also handed over the Certificates generated online during this function. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the revenue officials to attend to the issues of the general public promptly.
    The Chief Secretary also inspected the building and expressed his happiness over the improvement carried-out in the building by the APWD and expressed hope that given the right environment, the performance of the staff shall improve accordingly. He asked the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman to hold Tehsil specific meetings in the Conference Hall of Tehsil Office henceforth. He also congratulated the District Administration and Community Block for the achievements made under Swach Bharat Mission. The Chief Secretary also interacted with the officers of various Departments and staff of Revenue Department and enquired about various issues.    
    The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Udit Prakash Rai informed that 3 more e-Patwarkhanas will be coming up at Wimberlygunj, Wandoor and Ograbraj which will in turn improve service delivery mechanism.
Later, the Chief Secretary also visited Old Age Home, Children Home and PHC Ferrargunj and interacted with the inmates and enquired about their well being.
Thereafter, the Chief Secretary also inaugurated the newly constructed wing of Bathubasti Patwarkhana. The CS assured the PRIs/ general public present there that the augmentation of space in the Patwarakhana shall ease the public service mechanism in that Office to a great extent. The function was also attended by Adhyakasha, ZPSA, Smti Baby Fareeda, PRI members, Executive Engineer CD-III and others, a communication said.
