Yoga Wellness Centres functioning in all Districts of A&N Islands

     With a view to create awareness on importance of ‘Healthy living through Yoga’, the AYUSH Wing of DHS and A&N State AYUSH Society has set up ‘Yoga Wellness Centres’ in all the three Districts of A&N Islands. The objective of these wellness centres is to create awareness on disease prevention among the populace through various yogic techniques. 
       Accordingly, regular yoga classes are being conducted for general public at the respective locations. In N&M Andaman, classes are being held at CHC, Diglipur, nearby schools and Community Health Centres besides Rangat and Mayabunder while in South Andaman, Yoga classes are held at AYUSH, Port Blair and its suburbs (Garacharma, Bambooflat including Educational Institutions).In the southern group of Islands, classes are being held at Campbell Bay, Nancowry and Car Nicobar. 
    The classes are being conducted by trained Yoga instructors in each location on a daily basis, free of cost. At AYUSH, yoga classes for OPD patients are held daily from 8.30 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 4 pm besides regular yoga classes for general public are also being conducted at AYUSH from 5 am to 6 am and 4 pm to 5 pm. The general public can avail this facility at AYUSH, Junglighat for a healthy life style.
