CS inaugurates 67th Van Mahotsav at Mayabunder

   The Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Shri Anindo Majumdar inaugurated the 67th Van Mahotsav with a ceremonial planting at Divisional Forest Office complex, Mayabunder yesterday, in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Shri. Arava Gopikrishna, Smti Vanjulavalli Karthick, Divisional Forest Officer, Mayabunder and the Superintendent of Police of N& M Andaman, Shri Parvinder Singh. The Chief Secretary expressed his delight in being part of the planting ceremony and interacted with the staff and workers of Mayabunder Forest Division who were present on the occasion. The occasion reinforces the importance of trees and forests in the Islands and elsewhere. Van Mahotsav is a month long planting festival celebrated in grandeur, a release from the Divisional Forest Officer, Mayabunder said here today.
