Inter-departmental synergy & collaboration through capacity building of Govt. Officials for transparent & accountable service delivery

     The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, Mayabunder organised a special training session on e-Procurement solution for the Government officials of various Departments today in the Conference Hall of O/o Deputy Commissioner (N&MA), Mayabunder.
    Shri Sendil Kumar, Scientist-D, NIC, Port Blair was the resource person. The officials from fifteen Departments of A&N Administration participated in the programme. They were given extensive training on various features and functionalities of the e-Procurement application such as User Registration, e-Tender Creation, Bid Publishing, Corrigendum Publishing, Online Participation by the Bidders, 'Bid Opening', 'Bid Evaluation' and 'Award of Contract' etc. The participants were also sensitized on the usage of Digital Signature Certificates.
     It is envisaged that few participants shall be groomed as master trainers and their services shall be utilised for giving training to the Government officials in Diglipur and Rangat as well.
   It is first of its kind effort towards building inter-departmental synergy and collaboration through capacity building of the Government officials in achieving successful business-process re-engineering in public procurement. Working knowledge of e-Procurement portal and processes shall help in achieving responsive, transparent and accountable service delivery by the Department, a press release from DC (N&M) said.
