Governing Body Meeting of DRDA held

The 23rd Governing Body Meeting of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), South Andaman was held under the Chairmanship of the Chairman, DRDA (Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman) today in the Conference Hall, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman.
The meeting was attended by the Up-Adhyasksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, the Executive Director, DRDA, South Andaman (CEO, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman), the Project Director, DRDA, South Andaman (ADM, South Andaman, the Pramukh, Prothrapur, Ferrargunj & Pradhans of South Andaman District, Executive Engineer (ZP, SA) and senior officers of the Lead Bank SBI, BRAIT, KVIB, the BDO Ferrargunj & Prothrapur, the Directorate of Rural Development, Tribal Welfare, NGO and other concerned departments.
Many significant suggestions were made by the Public representative regarding the Socio Economic Caste Census Survey/BPL Survey. As per them, the survey is not up to the mark and most of the PRIs are not aware of this survey, thus they requested to the Governing Body of DRDA to take up this issue with concerned appropriate authority to re-conduct the Socio Economic Caste Census Survey with intimation and support of PRI members.
In the meeting, it was decided that the community toilet block will be constructed at many places on Pay and Use basis to give fillip to Swatch Bharat Mission in South Andaman District, a communication said.
