'Shakti Samanvaya Shivir' Convergence mela for women empowerment organized at Diglipur

A convergence mela for empowerment of women-'Shakti Samanvaya Shivir' was organized in the multipurpose hall, Subashgram, Diglipur by the ICDS Project Diglipur under Directorate of Social Welfare recently. The camp aimed at  bring various stakeholders together at one platform for bringing various schemes of Government closer to the community to improve the outreach of Social Welfare Department. The Secretary (Social Welfare) Smti. Rashmi Singh also graced the occasion. 
Shri Shailender Kumar Singh, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur, Shri Shyamal Mondal, Pramukh Panchayat Samiti, Chief Medical Officer, CHC, Diglipur, other Officers of various Departments and PRIs of Diglipur area were also present. Resource persons from different Departments spoke about  POCSO & JJ Acts, Dulhari scheme, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Sukanya Samridhi scheme, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojna etc. Stalls on Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojna, Health & Nutrition, Pension schemes of Department of Social Welfare, locally made items of SHGs counter for BP, Sugar & HB test were putup at the Camp. Beneficiaries were also registered under PMMVY scheme, disability allowance, widow pension & Old Age Pension under Social Welfare during this mela. A large number of women, adolescent girls and Anganwadi Workers were present, and benefitted from the awareness imparted on various schemes.
Besides this, 3 newly renovated Anganwadi Centres equipped with toilet & Kitchen blocks at Ram Nagar - III, Ram Nagar (B) and Ram Nagar (H) were inaugurated by Secretary (Social Welfare).
